Terms of Use
Chapter 1. General Provisions
Article 1. Purpose
Section 1. These Terms and Conditions are intended to regulate the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users regarding membership registration and service use on the site operated by Biogen.
Article 2 Definitions
Section 1. 'Ebiogen' refers to a virtual business site established by Biogen to enable users to trade goods or services using computer and other information and communication facilities, and a physical store that actually operates a store. It is also used to refer to a business operator that operates a cyber mall.
Section 2. 'User' refers to members and non-members who access or visit 'Ebiogen' and receive services provided by 'Ebiogen' in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Section 3. 'Member' refers to a person who has registered as a member by providing personal information to 'Ebiogen', continuously receives information from 'Ebiogen', and can continuously use services provided by 'Ebiogen'.
Section 4. 'Non-member' refers to a person who uses the services provided by 'Ebiogen' without registering as a member.
Article 3. Statement and revision of terms and conditions
Section 1. 'Ebiogen' shall post the contents of these terms and conditions, company name, business office location, representative's name, business registration number, contact information (telephone, fax, e-mail address, etc.) on the initial service screen (front page) of the Ebiogen cyber mall so that users can see them.
Section 2. 'Ebiogen' may revise these terms and conditions to the extent that it does not violate related laws such as the Act on Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Electronic Commerce Act, the Electronic Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, etc., and the Consumer Protection Act.
Section 3. In the event that 'Ebiogen' revises these terms and conditions, it shall post the effective date and reason for revision on the initial screen of the mall along with the current terms and conditions from 7 days prior to the effective date to the day before the effective date.
Section 4. If 'Ebiogen' revises these terms and conditions, the revised terms and conditions will only apply to contracts concluded after the effective date, and the terms and conditions prior to the revision will remain applicable to contracts already concluded before that date. However, if a user who has already concluded a contract wishes to be subject to the revised terms and conditions and sends a notice to 'Ebiogen' within the notice period of the revised terms and conditions under Article 3 and receives 'Ebiogen's' consent, the revised terms and conditions will apply.
Article 5. Matters not specified in these terms and conditions and the interpretation of these terms and conditions shall be governed by the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Guidelines and related laws and regulations or common practices established by the government.
Article 4 Provision and Change of Services
Article 1. 'Ebiogen' performs the following tasks:
1. Provision of information on goods or services and conclusion of purchase contracts
2. Delivery of goods or services for which a purchase contract has been concluded
3. Other tasks determined by 'Ebiogen'
Article 2. In the event of a product being out of stock or a change in technical specifications, 'Ebiogen' may change the content of the product or service to be provided under a contract to be concluded in the future. In this case, the content of the changed product or service and the date of provision shall be specified and announced in the place where the content of the current product or service is posted from 7 days prior to the date of provision.
Clause 3. If 'Ebiogen' changes the content of the service that it has contracted to provide to the user due to reasons such as the product being out of stock or a change in technical specifications, 'Ebiogen' shall compensate the user for any damages incurred as a result. However, this shall not apply if 'Ebiogen' is not at fault or negligent. However, the standard for out of stock and out of print of book information is clearly stipulated as the out of print and out of print of the publisher or distributor that supplies the book to 'Ebiogen'.
Article 5 Suspension of Service
Clause 1. 'Ebiogen' may temporarily suspend the provision of the service in the event of maintenance, inspection, replacement, malfunction, or interruption of communication of information and communication equipment such as computers.
Clause 2. In the event of a service interruption pursuant to Paragraph 1, ‘Ebiogen’ shall notify users in the manner prescribed in Article 2 of Chapter 3.
