In order to ensure the freedom of communication in the information society, EBIOGEN (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") actively protects the privacy and personal information of its members and stipulates the following personal information policy. The Company's privacy policy is subject to change due to changes in relevant laws and governmental guidelines and changes in the Company's internal policies. 1. Method and Scope of Collection of Personal Information
The Company may collect personal information when the user registers for the use of the service. The basic essential information the Company may collect when the user registers is the name, resident registration number, business registration number, gender, address, mobile phone number, e-mail address, and contact information. In addition, for better service, the Company may collect optional information such as occupation, hobby, and monthly income. During the process of using and processing other services, the Company may collect service use records, access logs, cookies, connection IP information, payment records, etc. Also, the Company may request additional information when using certain services that require additional information. Even in this case, the information the user has provided will not be used except for the purpose of using the service or for the purpose stated in advance.


2. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The purpose of the Company's collection of personal information is to provide high-quality service and customized service according to the preferences and needs of individual members. The Company may deliver the advertisement information with the consent of the user when the service is provided, and the advertisement with more useful information is selectively delivered based on the information about the individual. Even when the advertisement concerning gender, age, and other specific conditions is inserted or delivered, the member's personal information will not be provided to the individual or organization requesting the ad.


3. Provision and Sharing of Personal Information
In principle, the Company does not provide personal information of the member to others. However, the Company makes exceptions in the case where the member agrees to disclose and provide the information, or a legal action is required due to the violation of terms of use of the Company or the act of damage to others, or there is a request from the relevant government agency by proper procedure.


4. Consignment of Personal Information
The Company consigns personal information of the members to the following company to provide better service. In addition, in order to secure the privacy of personal information during consignment contracts, we strictly stipulate the compliance with laws and regulations related to personal information protection, the prohibition and responsibility for the provision of personal information to the third party

5. Access, Modification, and Deletion of Own Personal Information
The member of the Company may have access to or modify his or her personal information at any time and may request the deletion of their personal information through the termination of membership registration. You can view, modify, and delete your personal information from the personal information management page on the homepage.


6. Duration of Retention and Use of Personal Information
During the service of the company, personal information of the member is retained by the company and used for providing the service.
In principle, the Company destroys the information without delay once the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved. However, the following information is kept for the specified period for the reasons explained below.

(1) Reason for the retention of the information by the Company's internal policy
Even when the member withdraws, the Company retains the following information in order to provide a seamless service and prevent an unauthorized use of service.
1) Name, resident registration number (passport number / alien registration number), e-mail address, phone number
- Reason for retention: Prevention of confusion in service use, settlement of dispute and cooperation with a request from investigation agency
- Duration of retention: 1 year
2) Record of illegal/bad use (including personal information of illegal/bad user)
- Reason for retention: Prevention of illegal and bad use of service and re-entry of illegal/bad user
- Duration of retention: 1 year

(2) Reason for the retention of information by relevant laws and regulations
When it is necessary to retain information in accordance with relevant laws and regulations such as commercial law, consumer protection law in e-commerce, etc., the Company retains personal information of the member for the specified period set by related laws and regulations. In this case, the Company uses the information it retains only for the purpose of retaining it, and the duration of retention is as follows.
1) Record of contract or withdrawal of the contract

7. Procedures for the Destruction of Personal Information
The information entered by the member for membership, etc. shall be saved for the specified period in accordance with the Company’s internal policy and the reasons for the retention of information (Refer to “6. Duration of Retention and Use of Personal Information”) by relevant laws and regulations and destroyed once the purpose is achieved.

Personal information printed on paper is shredded or incinerated, and personal information stored in an electronic file is deleted using a technical method that cannot reproduce the record.


8. Installation / Operation and Rejection of Automatic Collection Device of Personal Information
The Company uses 'cookies' to store and retrieve the member’s information when needed in order to provide customized services to him or her. A cookie, a small amount of text that a server used to run our website sends to the user’s browser, is stored on the user computer's hard disk. It identifies your computer but does not personally identify the user.
(1) Purpose of the Use of Cookies
The Company uses cookies for the following purposes.
Provision of targeted marketing and customized service by analyzing the frequency and time of member and non-member visits, identifying the Company’s tastes and areas of interest, tracking traces, and figuring out the degree of participation in various events and the number of visits.

(2) How to Refuse to Save Cookies
The member has an option of installing cookies. Therefore, the member can set the option in the web browser to accept all cookies, check each time when a cookie is saved, or refuse to save all cookies.

However, in order to use the service provided on the webpage of the Company, the cookie must be allowed. If rejected, it may be difficult to use the service of the company that requires login.

The member can report all complaints related to personal information generated by using company services to the person in charge of personal information. The Company will respond promptly and fully to the member’s reports.


10. Rights of the Member and Legal Representative and How They are Performed
The member and legal representative may have access to or modify personal information provided by themselves or their children under the age of 14 at any time and may request the termination of membership.

For the access/modification of personal information of the member or his or her children under the age of 14 or for the termination of membership, the member can directly have access to or modify the information or terminate the membership after confirming identification by clicking ‘Modify Personal Information’ (or ‘Edit Membership Information’) or clicking ‘Termination of Membership.’ Or if the member contacts to the person in charge of personal information via written document, phone or email, we will respond without delay.

The Company shall treat personal information that has been terminated or deleted at the request of its member or legal representative as described in the "Retention and Use Period of Personal Information Collected by the Company" and is prohibited from being viewed or accessed for any other purpose.


11. Measures to Protect Personal Information
The Company does its best to ensure that information is handled safely and in the best way possible when dealing with personal information due to a request from the member for password.

The Company shall restrict access to personal information to those who perform personal information management duties such as person in charge of personal information and those who are inevitable to handle personal information for work, and always emphasize the compliance with the policy through occasional education to employees who handle personal information.

In addition to the efforts of the Company mentioned above, the member should be careful not to expose his or her personal information such as ID, password and resident registration number to the Internet or to others. The Company shall not be held responsible for the leakage of personal information such as ID and password which is caused by the member’s negligence.

Therefore, it is recommended that only you use your ID and password and change the password frequently. It is also recommended that you use a password that is difficult for others to guess by mixing letters and numbers.

You should always log out and close your web browser after you finish using the service. This process is especially necessary for the security of personal information when sharing a computer with others or using the computer in public places.

You should keep in mind that the personal information you voluntarily provide through chat, bulletin boards, email, etc. may be used by others differently from your intentions. You are responsible for keeping your password secure, so you should not leave your personal information in any public space. Also, you should be careful not to expose your personal information in the PC room or other public places, where there are many other people around, keeping in mind that other people may see your computer screen while you are using the service.


12. Personal information reporting and dispute settlement

In addition, if you are financially or mentally damaged from the infringement of personal information, you can apply for a relief to the Personal Information Dispute Resolution Committee.
